PRAYER SHAWLS

For generations shawls have been made to provide warmth and comfort. Members of the Saint Andrew Prayer Shawl Ministry pray as they create shawls designed to symbolize God’s love for the individual receiving it. After dedication (the second Sunday of each month), the shawls are given to those needing healing, facing challenges or mourning or those celebrating the birth of a child, a marriage, or other joyous occasion. Shawls are also given to new members of Saint Andrew and to graduating high school seniors.

Anyone may request a prayer shawl. It is not necessary for the giver or receiver to be a member of this congregation.

We have given over 2,000 shawls and 100s of Little Dresses to Africa, Haiti, and Jamaica.
