PROGRAM MISSION

The mission of the St. Andrew Preschool program is to provide a Christian atmosphere in which children will learn to feel secure and comfortable in a school environment while learning through play and interacting with peers and teachers. The children will be given experiences that will development their cognitive, motor, social, perceptual, and communication skills.

PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY

The preschool program is designed to offer a holistic educational experience through experiential learning activities, group listening and sharing activities, free play, and educational field trips. The children at St. Andrew Preschool benefit from a well-rounded developmentally appropriate educational program provided by nurturing professionals trained in the field of education.

The program will include many experiences that will encourage the children in creative play and learning as well as aid in the development of curiosity about the world around them. Through association with their peers and teachers, the children will be encouraged to develop a sense of fair play, self-reliance, problem solving and respect for themselves and others. St. Andrew Preschool emphasizes the importance of learning through hands-on experiences and play, rather than a structured pencil-paper academic environment.
